Stevie Wonder packs his bags and goes to Ghana.
Music icon recently spoke to Oprah Winfrey and stated his decision.
Wonder said: “I want to see this nation smile again. And I want to see it before I go on a trip and go to Ghana because I will do it.”
“Will you go to Ghana forever?” Oprah asked.
“I am,” he replied. “I do not want to see my children’s children say, ‘Oh please like me. Please respect me, please know that I’m important, please appreciate me.’ What is that?”
This is not the first time Wonder has considered moving to Ghana. In 1994, he said he felt there was “more social feeling” in the African nation than in the United States.
