Australian white ball captain Aaron Finch recently addressed the media in front of his country’s ODI ranks against India Virat Kohli.
He claimed that he takes great pride in representing Australia against the Men with the Blues, and handed over the historic rivalry that exists between the two world crisis powers.
When asked about the Indo-Australian river, Finch stated that he has been monitoring competitions between teams since a young age.
“You want to play against the best teams. We recently played England and we played a little bit against India. It ‘s always a great lineup to be part of and watch. Growing up, watching Test-Australia-India matches and ODI – this is a great competition and a pleasure to play with, “said Aaron Finch.
‘I do not think there is too much recognition’ – Aaron Finch
Various former cricketers like Michael Clarke have claimed that Australia is shying away from siding with India for fear of losing IPL contracts. Finch confidently said that there is no ‘identity’ when ‘Baggy Green’ is used.
“I do not think there is too much recognition there. I know we play a lot of IPL together and things like that. It just comes back to proudly representing the country and the day you are as good as you can be,” Aaron Finch added. .
The first 3 ODIs between India and Australia are scheduled to take place on 27 November at Sydney Cricket Ground. Aaron Finch, who is behind his rival on the back of a desperate IPL campaign Virat kohli, would like Australia to lead to another bilateral victory over India.
